Google Maps is well positioned to embed deeper into our lives than it already is. At the end of the day who doesn’t use it once if not a few times a day. Is it purely for spatial search anymore? The super apps of China show where the future may be – though not sure if it’ll work here in the West. Google has been progressively monetizing their maps through native ads. Though they’re moving quite slow…Then obviously they are getting in the AR space – is it to seed deeper product placement? If so, it seriously blows open the opportunity space. Link
If you’re interested in building prototypes with Mapbox in Framer. Build it into the prototype and then convince eng to build it into production? Not a bad strategy for Mapbox penetration into the startup world. Link
