Dreaming Green was the backside to Saving Unique Habitats supplement map and printed in the December issue of National Geographic Magazine. It was built to hone in on the GIS and spatial strategy that Esri is developing for use around the country. This is a use case of Ulster County New York putting these tools into effect and making on the ground green initiatives happen throughout their region. It includes green coridor creation by linking together small tracts of conservation land, bike paths, land renovation into solar fields, and the prioritization of natural wetlands to naturally increase water quality for New York city which is down stream of the Hudson. We worked closely with the Ulster County Planning Department to highlight individual efforts being done.
